Direct Group is searching for a Senior Printing Press Mechanic who can troubleshoot PLC and DC drives. Must have a thorough understanding of auxiliary related equipment such as KTI splicers, GEC rewinders, UV systems, and ink and register controls. A thorough understanding of gearboxes, air compressors, shaft drives and chilled water systems is a must. Applicants should have experience in maintaining a scheduled and preventive maintenance program while minimizing press downtime. Position is responsible for maintaining all maintenance records and parts inventory of all work performed.

DG has four Sanden Quantum 1500XP variable-size perfecting web presses, including 5, 6, 8 and 10 colors. We take responsibility for getting it done on spec and on time with a full-digital workflow direct to proof and plate optimized for our equipment and secure under one roof.

• Up to 6 million 8 ½-by-11-inch full-color (4/4) sheets per day
• 5/5 (up to 9/1 or 10/0) capability for process plus spot color, varnish and more
• Ultraviolet-curing links for maximum scuff resistance without varnish
• Infrared dryers cure ink between press units at full rated speed for dry ink trapping and best color reproduction
• Up to 1.7 million number-10 three-color window or closed-faced envelopes per day printed in house eliminate subcontractor packing/shipping delays and costs while speeding turnaround
