Insurance Client Sees High ROI From New Web-Based Marketing Solution

The Challenge 

In business for more than 80 years, this client sells home, business and auto insurance products through a network of more than 12,000 independent agents and brokers throughout the United States.  

The company’s marketing department needed a cost-effective, automated solution to provide sales and marketing support to its extensive network of agents.  

Solution

Direct Group delivered an integrated solution quickly and within budget using its direct mail, fulfillment services and database marketing capabilities.  A centralized Web-based portal system allows the client’s agents to access company-approved marketing documents, sales aids, premium items, lead-generating mailers or e-mails, among other options.  All materials are customizable for the appropriate requestor. This capability is especially effective for clients such as this that are in highly regulated industries where the ability to manage marketing campaigns and budgets centrally is critical for compliance and recordkeeping.   The platform delivers sales results in the field as well as program “dashboards” for corporate marketing staff.   In addition, because Direct Group is a third-party processing agent for a national credit bureau, it can provide pre-screened direct marketing leads that many direct marketing companies are not authorized to provide.

Results  

Direct Group designed and delivered this client’s marketing platform in just three months, followed by national training and deployment during the next three months.   The program was extremely well received, with more than 75 percent of the client’s agents signing up for training and access to the system.  Today, this network of more than 8,000 agents and brokers regularly uses the web-based system Direct Group developed to market successfully in the field. Working closely with the client, Direct Group continually reviews the features and services of this program, making enhancements and new additions as the team identifies campaign and business needs.
