Due to the tremendous volume that flows through our facility each day, Direct Group can generate significant savings on each campaign by upgrading clients’ mail to the 5-digit SCF rate. Our postal development team has created an optimized system whereby we isolate densely populated pockets in select geographic areas for maximum SCF discounts.
Direct Group’s PostalOptimizer® strategy also involves blending co-palletization services with our commingling capabilities. Recently we passed a rigorous co-palletization certification process that allows us to present SCF-qualifying mail straight out of our lettershop prior to any additional processing in-house. Our Swedesboro facility is one of the few major mailers in the country that has this certification
Because of the huge volumes that we produce in our lettershop, in many cases we are able to move mail directly to USPS facilities, thus getting mail in-home faster and cheaper. In addition, our dedicated logistics division focuses on reducing the overall drop-ship freight costs for our clients.
Through our multiple DSMS-certified software platforms, Direct Group can release mail from our Swedesboro facility prior to payment for postage. This gives our clients cash-flow advantages and allows for reduced and more targeted transit times into USPS facilities.
Using our proprietary change-of-address technology, Direct Group’s campaign optimization services suppress complex duplicate names in databases and upgrade non-Zip+4 addresses to support automation discounts. We are also able to enhance records by a factor of three to four percent by identifying and selecting appropriate “missed movers” (people who move residences but do not register with the NCOA system). These processes improve the accuracy of average standard mail from 96 to 99.9 percent, significantly reducing postal waste and costs while also boosting response rates at least 1 to 2 percent on every campaign.
